Toyota concept impresses

January 16, 2012 Featured No Comments

The best part about my job is learning about the latest breakthroughs in technology found in the automobile industry.  While some of these vehicles, known as concept cars, never become a reality, many of the inventions seen on auto show floors around the world eventually become the latest feature available on Salt Lake City cars.  Therefore, you can understand my joy in learning about cool new possibilities in the world of automobiles, and then watching them eventually make their way to Salt Lake City new car dealer lots.

This year, my favorite new concept is the Toyota NS4, which has been strutting its stuff this month at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.  For power, the vehicle houses the latest plug-in hybrid technology.  The vehicle, due to market in 2015, promises to offer an increased range and faster charging times than electric vehicles on today’s market.

But this latest from Toyota also promises to offer superior safety and connectivity technology as well.  For example, Toyota is developing its on-board computer systems to work more and more like the simplistic screens of today’s touch-screen smart phones.  As for safety, simple additions like glass that instantly clears water and fog will give drivers increased visibility.

Of course there is no way to know for sure that the Toyota NS4 concept will one day reach Salt Lake City new car dealer lots in the area like our own of Karl Malone ToyotaHowever, it is safe to assume these technologies and more will continue to be developed and those most usable will find their way into the Salt Lake City cars of the future.
